It’s the last post for the year and what a year! We’ve served more than 25,000 customers… next year is going to be even bigger and we will be sharing some huge news in January.
Nan is shutting up shop from 4pm on Christmas Eve and will reopen at 9am on Wednesday 3rd January 2018 – everyone needs a little break.
If you are in the Hunter Valley we recommend booking a table online during the holiday period as everywhere can get very busy especially over brunchtime. Book for Nanna Kerr’s Kitchen here.
If you are still looking for some last minute gifts we’ve got some great deals on Print Your Own High Tea or egift vouchers and you can use the code MERRY at the checkout for an extra 15% off until 5pm on Christmas Day – perfect for any surprise visitors that don’t have a gift under the tree.
At the restaurant we are always looking for more ways to make a positive social and environmental impact. A couple of months ago we discovered Who Gives A Crap an organisation focused on helping 2.3 billion people (roughly 40% of the world’s population) that don’t have access to toilets. Poor sanitation causes diarrhoea related diseases that fill over half of sub-Saharan African hospital beds and kill 900 children under 5 every day. Luckily, toilets are proven to be a great solution—they provide dignity, health and an improved quality of life. And in case that wasn’t enough, it’s been shown that a dollar invested in sanitation yields $5.50 in increased economic prosperity. Toilets are magical!
What’s more is that you can order you toilet roll on subscription so you’ll never ever run out!
Our annual Pokolbin Pride festival will be 3 years old in 2018. On the 12th, 13th and 14th we will be celebrating all things LGBTIQ in the Hunter Valley. Early bird tickets are now available for just $99 with access to all three parties.
Book your accomodation early and save $$$ 3-night stays are available for less than $300 for two people.
Have a very happy Christmas whoever you are celebrating with and wherever you are. We look forward to seeing you in the kitchen very soon.
Much love and gratitude,
Matty and Jimmy Kerr
